Fall Study Advice 📖

Try the “Falling Leaves Recall.” Take your notes or flashcards on a short walk outside and quiz yourself while enjoying the autumn colors. Use the calm of the season to reset your mind before the rainy days settle in. Walking boosts focus and memory retention, while the seasonal change makes studying feel less like a chore and more like a ritual. This can work really well for quick fact reviews like drug interactions, lab ranges, or assessment steps.
💡Pro tip: Pick a favorite tree or spot on campus — revisit it during your walk and tie a key concept to that place. When exams roll around, picturing the leaves can help trigger recall.
Career Tips 🏥

Focus this week on asking better questions in clinicals. Instead of just “What should I do next?” try:
“Why did you choose this intervention?”
“What would happen if we did X instead?”
It shows curiosity, builds rapport with preceptors, and deepens your understanding of care decisions. It is ideal for bedside learning and job interviews (adapt it to “What’s the biggest challenge your team faces?”).
💡 Pro tip: Keep a small pocket notebook or use your phone notes to jot down answers you get — these real-world insights make excellent talking points for future clinicals, interviews, or even your resume.
