When the caffeine stops working and your brain officially turns to pumpkin purée, that’s your sign to stop overcomplicating things. You don’t need a twelve-hour study plan, a new color-coding system, or to feel guilty for being tired. You just need a rhythm that keeps you moving without burning you out.

That’s where the 1-2-3 Rule comes in:

  • 1 concept you’ve nailed. Start with something familiar — it’s like stretching before a workout. Remind yourself that you do know what you’re doing.

  • 2 topics you’re fuzzy on. This is where the real progress happens. Don’t aim for perfection — just clarity.

  • 3 NCLEX or class questions. Apply what you’ve learned right away so it sticks. Even wrong answers teach you something.

It’s simple, but that’s the point. You can fit it in between classes, before a shift, or in those weird 30-minute windows where you normally scroll your phone and panic about how much there is to do.

Make it feel like something you actually want to do. Pour a warm drink, put on your comfiest hoodie, and light a candle that smells like cinnamon or clean laundry or whatever calm feels like to you. Studying doesn’t have to be punishment — it can be a reset. A way to slow down, focus, and remind yourself that you’re still in control, even when things feel hectic. Because at the end of the day, the goal isn’t to memorize every line in your notes — it’s to trust that you’re learning, bit by bit, even when your brain feels fried. That’s real progress.

Think about how much more comfortable you are now compared to the first week — how your instincts are sharper, how the things that once felt impossible now feel routine.

Baked Mac & Cheese Revival

  • 2 cups pasta

  • 2 tbsp butter + 2 tbsp flour

  • 2 cups milk

  • 2 cups shredded cheese (cheddar + mozzarella)

How to make it:
